CTRL+ALT+DEFEAT
We’re Ctrl+Alt+Defeat. A group of engineers and tech enthusiasts who met while building computers at work and decided wheels were cooler than mother boards.
We live for problem-solving, debugging life’s challenges and occasionally over-engineering something as seemingly simple as a soapbox kart. Peter is our chief engineer and has done the design work, plus all the terrible welding, while Viv, Guy, Sophie, and Arul are our drivers, pushers and cheer leaders. We took part in our first two soapbox events last year and only mildly embarrassed ourselves , so thought we’d have a crack at improving for this year.
Fun facts we’ve learnt black chassis paint sticks to the skin for weeks and blue smoke cannons turn the kart pushers into smurfs, so no more of that!
