Burghfield Box Kart Bash

plus World Cup LIVE

Brought to you by the Burghfield Santas

Sunday 24th June 2018

Another AMAZING event in this brilliant community of Burghfield

We had plenty of thrills, and more than a fair share of spills! 29 Karts raced down our track, negotiating the Chicane, Super Soaker and the Kicker, and most of them survived! We even managed to get a TV screen in for the footie!

This charity event raised a phenomenal £18,000 for diverse set of good causes including Thames Valley Air Ambulance and The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association as well as all the good causes supported by the kart teams.

We could not have done this without you – our community. 150 volunteers worked to make the day happen, and thousands of hours of effort in preparation for the 12 months before.

Thanks to every one who was involved

See you all next year!

Another AMAZING event in this brilliant community of Burghfield

Brace for an Oscar acceptance speech worthy post! We had plenty of thrills, and more than a fair share of spills! 29 Karts raced down our hill in Burghfield a couple of weeks back, and most of them survived! We even managed to get a TV screen in for the footie!

There is a huge roll call of volunteers coming – if you see a name you recognise, TAG THEM and say Thank You! Without them we couldn’t do these events!

This charity event raised a phenomenal £18,000 for good causes - £8,000 of this was from the Kart teams themselves – who raised money for a diverse set of good causes; including First Days Children's Charity, Starlight Children's Foundation, The Ark Project 10 Sleeper Homeless Bus and Drug Addiction Support Group, East Anglia Air Ambulance, Alexander Devine Children's Hospice Service, Sebastian's Action Trust, Macmillan Cancer Support, Great Ormond Street Hospital and Children's Charity, Mobility Trust, RAF100Appeal, 1st Ufton Scouts, The Royal British Legion Tilehurst, The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association (UK) & Thames Valley Air Ambulance and the money raised by the event will be split between local community groups, The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association (UK) and, of course, Thames Valley Air Ambulance!

We could not have done this without you – our community. 150 volunteers worked to make the day happen, and thousands of hours of effort in preparation for the 12 months before.
